About Kaj The Cloud Guy

Hi! I’m Kaj (pronounced like “BYE”) the Cloud Guy! 

I spent my first 16 years of my career as a Broadcast Meteorologist – this type of meteorologist helps give you the weather on your TV screen. 

I’ve since moved on from the TV world making a change to go into Forensic Meteorology. This means rather than forecast the weather all the time, I go back and reconstruct weather conditions for various dates as requested by engineers, lawyers and whoever else may need my services.

The goal of this webpage is to have some fun and learn as well, not to give expert testimony about Meteorology. Hat tip to my buddy Chad G. for the name! One of the highlights of my previous job was visiting 500+ classrooms and teaching kids (and adults!) all about the weather.  I was the guest speaker to all those kids that I never had growing up.

Please use the content in your classroom or your own home and let me know what you think of it.  I want to keep this website an ad-free space, leaving you with a good, clean, fun learning environment that is safe for education with no annoying or inappropriate pop-up ads. 

My hope is to continue to expand the site, including more of those animated explainer videos (those might be hosted on YouTube, we will see), and an inclusion of a timelapse cloud camera.
